Benerd School of Education
Teresa Vail
Director of Field Experience

Student Teaching + Interning

Professional practice is a vital step to earning a credential that prepares you  to enter the exciting and sometimes challenging  career as a fully credentialed teacher. At the Benerd School of Education we value the ability to provide our students numerous opportunities to gain hands on experience as a teacher well before graduating. You will work in a variety of diverse classroom settings while building your resume and gaining confidence as a teacher.  Each of our professional practice options provides aspiring teachers with a supportive environment as well as the opportunity to cultivate creativity and develop rewarding professional relationships.

At the Benerd School of Education we offer two options to complete professional practice, see below to explore which option best suits your needs:

Both options lead to a CA SB2042 Preliminary Credential with English Language Learner coursework embedded in the program.
