Dr. Maich's research experience and teaching interests are in the area of synthesis and characterization of materials. She is currently involved in novel alloy synthesis and characterization, growth and characterization of thin film superconductors, and additive manufacturing. Her previous research endeavors include studies in tribology, nanoparticle growth and characterization, and improvement of thermal barrier coatings.
