Medication Use Safety Training

Medication Use Safety Training for Seniors (MUSTTM). MUSTTM is a national education campaign for older adults and their caregivers developed by the National Council on Patient Information and Education. The program is designed to be educational and interactive. It promotes safe and appropriate medication use by enabling participants to avoid medication misuse, recognize and manage common side effects, and improve medication use knowledge, attitudes, and skills to avoid medication errors. In partnership with the Pharmacy Foundation of California, Pacific faculty pharmacists and student interns provide this Human Services Agency grant-funded community program. The first part of the program offers general group education with the opportunity for questions and answers. The second part provides private, individualized consultation services to review all medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins-minerals, and herbal remedies for possible medication-related problems.
