Cynthia S. Valle-Oseguera '12, PharmD, APh, BCACP, BCGP is originally from Mexico, but has lived in the Bay Area for over a decade. She earned her bachelor of science in biotechology from University of California, Davis and her doctor of pharmacy from University of the Pacific. She completed a general Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency and a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Ambulatory Care residency at the VA Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

Dr. Valle-Oseguera's areas of expertise include cardiology, geriatrics, interprofessional collaborations and Medicare Part D. Her fluency in Spanish is also an asset to the department as it allows her to teach Spanish as a doctor of pharmacy elective.

Dr. Valle-Oseguera found her inspiration for teaching during her residency training at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy where she discovered that working with the students improved her clinical skills. She gives back to the Stockton community by coordinating Health Care Outreach Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience activities. There are many reasons why she loves teaching at Pacific, but the main reason is the amazing students who go on to become great pharmacists and leaders in the profession.

She is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the American Public Health Association, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Pharmacists Association and the California Pharmacists Association. She also serves as a Board Member of the San Joaquin Pharmacist Association Chapter.

She loves exploring the cultural diversity found in the Bay Area, tango dancing, crafts and live music.
