That\u2019s because Pacific offers generous financial aid, both need-based and merit-based, to ensure as many students as possible are paying <em>as little as possible<\/em> for a quality education.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Pacific\u2019s commitment to affordability looks like:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>68% <\/strong>of incoming, first-year students received need-based aid last year. (U.S. News and World Report, 2024)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Over $71 million <\/strong>of need-based institutional aid was distributed to students (all cohorts) last year. (U.S. News and World Report, 2024)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pacific ranks 2<sup>nd<\/sup> lowest in student debt <\/strong>among NCAA Division I West Coast Conference schools (Forbes Magazine, 2024)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You\u2019ve earned it: How to access all qualifying financial aid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Do your best in high school<\/strong><br>This sounds obvious, but keeping a high GPA and testing well on your SAT or ACT will help you access more merit-based money. Additionally, staying involved in extracurriculars, taking on leadership roles and serving your community will give you a competitive edge for many private and institutional scholarships. Pacific considers 100% of admitted students for merit-based scholarships that range in value from $10,000 to $30,000. The higher your grades, the more scholarship money you can receive\u2013\u2013so keep up the good work!<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacific.edu\/financial-aid\/scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See more Pacific scholarships<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fill out the FAFSA<\/strong><br>Make sure to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAFSA<\/a> (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to receive need-based scholarships and grants. If your family has financial need, you will qualify for some amount of relief. Need-based financial aid comes from federal and state governments as well as Pacific.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Explore work-study opportunities<\/strong><br>Pacific participates in the Federal Work-Study program, which is a great way for you to earn money while staying involved and connected on campus.
