You will get a look inside classrooms, meet our professors and tour campus housing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think what will stand out the most to students is the opportunity to meet with current, specific students and faculty face to face, ask them their questions and get a feeling for what it is like to be a Pacific Tiger,\u201d said Andrew Merenda, director of campus visits and events. \u201cI think many students will walk away with a positive impression of the university and will be able to picture themselves here.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick guide to help you make the most of the day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Morning activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Plan to arrive early for Admitted Student Day to get acquainted with our beautiful campus. Check-in opens at 8:15 a.m. at Burns Tower, located at the university\u2019s Pacific Avenue entrance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early birds can enjoy a complimentary breakfast. Free parking is available all day. Enter the campus from the Pacific Avenue entrance and follow the signs that direct you to our parking lots. Knoles Lawn, located behind Burns Tower, will be the central gathering place for the day&#8217;s events, including the Presidential Welcome, lunch, information booths and the closing reception.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning at 9 a.m., our Tiger Team will be on hand to guide you on campus and housing tours that will depart from Burns Tower every 15 minutes. A special information session for transfer students will also be offered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Must-see events&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Academic previews and special interest sessions will begin at 11 a.m. There will be a second set of sessions in the afternoon.&nbsp; These previews will allow you to step into classrooms and talk with professors about what you can expect in your major.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special interest sessions offer a closer look at Pacific\u2019s support offerings like Career Services and academic tutoring and provide opportunities to meet with Residential Life and about the next steps for housing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;You can also join the Office of Financial Aid for a presentation to help you better understand your financial aid options and for an opportunity to get your questions answered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sample questions you can ask current students&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make the most of your visit to Pacific by being curious, exploring all the opportunities available and asking questions of current students. Don\u2019t be shy! You can also ask our Tiger Team members anything. They\u2019ll be wearing orange polos and are ready to assist you throughout the day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Campus life questions:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What\u2019s the social scene like on campus?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are some must-join clubs or organizations?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do students usually spend their weekends?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What\u2019s the food like in the dining halls?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any favorite spots?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What\u2019s it like living in the residence halls?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Academic life questions:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What types of opportunities do departments offer that you can take advantage of as a student?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can you get support finding an internship or connecting with research opportunities?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What do you like most about your major or classes at Pacific?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How accessible and helpful are the professors?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is your favorite class so far, and why?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How does academic advising work here?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are there good resources for tutoring or academic help?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are ways that you can get more involved as a student?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Celebrate your decision!&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you confirm your enrollment during Admitted Student Day, you\u2019ll get to ring the iconic Burns Tower bells for all to hear.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter ringing the bell, confirmed students will then step into the 360-photo booth where orange and black confetti will rain down on them as we capture the thrill and excitement of this unforgettable moment,\u201d Merenda said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, you\u2019ll get a voucher to pick up some Pacific spirit gear at the University Bookstore, located in the DeRosa University Center.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t registered yet, check your email for your invitation and the registration link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions before the event, contact Andrew Merenda, Director of Campus Visit Programs and Events, at <a href=\"mailto:amerenda@pacific.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amerenda@pacific.edu<\/a> or 209.932.2835.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Admitted Student Day is more than just a campus tour; it\u2019s your chance to get to know Pacific.
