Cathy Mayorga, MSW (she, her, ella) is a Program Specialist within the Center for Identity and Inclusion - who oversees El Centro and Native American Support Services at University of the Pacific. She identifies as a first-generation Latina who has dedicated her service to the development of intentional programming in post-secondary education aimed to amplify the voices of underserved marginalized groups, promote critical dialogue, and advance social justice. With a focus on Latino/a/x/e, Native, and Indigenous identifying students at Pacific, she actively strives towards being a resource and fostering safe spaces for students of all intersectional identities to build community and be their true authentic selves. Cathy received her B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in Education from University of California, Santa Cruz, and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Stanislaus. Fun facts: She enjoys spending time with her cats and exploring new hiking trails!
