Marge Grey joined Pacific in 2016 as the associate vice president for marketing and communications and external relations. Grey now leads the university’s branding, media relations, digital communications, internal communications and government/community relations strategy and programs under the umbrella of Strategic Communications. She also serves as strategic advisor in reputation management for the university.
Grey heads a team of professionals responsible for Pacific’s branding, digital and social media, media relations, issues management and crisis communications, internal communications, publications, creative services and government/community relations. She partners with leaders in Enrollment Management and Development and Alumni Relations to advance the university’s admissions and fundraising strategies.
Prior to Pacific, Grey served as the assistant vice chancellor for communications for the California State University System, where she led, integrated and aligned the work of 23 campuses in marketing, branding, web, digital and social media, video and print publications, outreach and special events. Her previous experience includes marketing and communications leadership positions in health care, publishing and nonprofits. Grey has written for the New York Times, regional magazines and consumer publications.
