WRC's Focus on Scholarship

One of the main pillars of the Women's Resource Center is a focus on student success through scholarship. We demonstrate this focus in multiple ways:

Gender Studies

The Gender Studies Program at Pacific is an interdisciplinary program that offers a minor (and self-designed major) to students interested in the study of gender. Gender Studies organizes and co-sponsors various events and activities throughout the year, often collaborating with the Women's Resource Center,  Pride Resource Center, Ethnic Studies Program and other areas of the University.

Lending Library

The WRC is home to an extensive library of feminist and gender studies books, magazines, and films. Students may borrow books for free at any time.

Study Space

In need of a quiet spot to study? Our comfortable couches can be used for reading, writing, and studying, and students are welcome to free coffee or tea in the Intercultural Student Success . There is also one computer in the WRC and one in the ISS for student use.

Meeting Space

Interested in getting together with a writing group or study group? Students can reserve the conference table in the WRC! Just contact our Program Support Specialist, Misael Alvarado.

American Association of University Women

Through events such as the Intergenerational Tea, Pacific's Women's Resource Center is proud to partner with the Stockton Branch of the AAUW. The AAUW is the nation's leading organization advocating equity for women and girls, and its national membership of 80,000 seeks to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. People of every race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, and level of physical ability are invited to join. The organization funds research, community projects, and fellowships and grants for outstanding women.
