Campus Shuttle Program

Campus shuttleThe University sponsors a shuttle program through Public Safety provided for students to make it easier and safer for students to travel across campus at night. This service is provided in coordination with the campus STRIPE program.

The shuttle currently runs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters.  The shuttle does not operate during the Thanksgiving and Winter breaks. 

Important Dates: 

  • Shuttle ends Fall semester 2018 service on Sunday, 12/16/18 @ 9 pm
  • Shuttle begins Spring semester 2019 service on Thursday, 1/10/2019 @ 6 pm
  • Shuttle ends Spring semester 2019 service on Sunday, 5/5/2019 @ 9 pm

Along with the ride request, students will need to advise of their pick-up and drop-off locations. The shuttle complies with California's seatbelt law.

The shuttle has established locations on campus to pick up and drop off students, and students can also flag down the van while it is on route between stops. Scheduled shuttle stops:

  • Townhouse/Calaveras Hall parking lot
  • Monagan Hall parking lot
  • Burns Tower/Pacific Circle
  • Presidents Drive and Atchley Way
  • Atchley Way and Dave Brubeck Way (S/W)
  • Stagg Circle
  • Olson Hall and S. Service Road
  • Raymond Lodge
  • Alex G. Spanos Center (only during events)

The service starts at Monagan Hall and circles the campus in a clockwise direction, stopping at each location on the way. It takes the van approximately 30 minutes to complete a circuit. The shuttle travels to all campus stops unless providing an off campus transport which may delay the 30-minute route time. 

The shuttle provides off campus transport of students by text request to the following locations:

  • Greyhound depot
  • Amtrak station
  • St. Joseph's Hospital
  • Dameron Hospital
  • Downtown Theater (Regal 16)
  • Webertown Mall
  • Sherwood Mall
  • Sherwood Mall Annex
  • Lincoln Center
  • Robinhood Plaza
  • Stonecreek Village
  • College Square 
  • Palm Crossing
  • Quail Lakes Shopping
  • SaveMart (Alpine & Pacific location)
  • Miracle Mile (Pacific & Castle is the pick-up & drop-off point)

*Public Safety provides a safe and efficient campus shuttle program. In order to maintain these standards, the following is NOT permitted by individuals who choose to ride the shuttle:

  • Physically aggressive behavior toward passengers or drivers, including pushing or forcing one's way onto the shuttle
  • Blocking, leaning on, holding open, or attempting to open doors when the shuttle is in motion
  • Any form of physical contact with the driver
  • Any form of inflammatory, disrespectful, or otherwise distracting speech directed toward a driver or passengers
  • No alcohol (in open or closed containers)
  • Banging on or attempting to board a moving shuttle
  • Damaging, defacing or in any way marring the interior or exterior of the shuttle
  • Bringing pets on the shuttle (only service animals will be allowed)
  • Smoking

Above all else, please demonstrate common courtesy and respect for those around you, and allow all members of Pacific's campus community to get the most out of the Shuttle service.

*Failure to adhere to the standards listed above may result in one or more of the following removal from the shuttle, referral to Judicial Affairs for review under the Student Code of Conduct, or prohibition from further use of the shuttle.
