Admitted student events
While most events for admitted students have already taken place, there are still opportunities to get to know our campus.

Campus tours
All campus tours and information sessions have been suspended until further notice. In the meantime, there are other ways to see our campus

SAT/ACT Testing: The admission application is test-optional. Applicants who do not submit test scores will not be disadvantaged during the application review.

If you complete a standardized test and would like to submit your scores, you can do so, but it is optional. Our school codes are:

  • SAT: 4065
  • ACT: 0240

Direct Admit (non-UOPI) International Student Language Testing: International applicants must have proof of English Language Proficiency. We will accept test scores from the Duolingo English test. The minimum score for Pacific is 110.

Advanced Placement and IB Scoring: Pacific is monitoring the websites related to Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate for any changes in scoring processes. At this time, we will continue to evaluate the AP test scores and IB course certificate and diplomas per our usual practice.

Deferring Enrollment:

  • Deferring enrollment to spring 2021: Your admission status will not change as long as you do not take any additional higher education classes after graduation. Additionally, there will be no change in your financial aid award package, and you will receive the COVID-19 Relief Scholarship for up to 7 semesters.
  • Deferring enrollment to fall 2021: Your application will be rolled over into the class of fall 2021, and if your status does not change, you will be offered admission for fall 2021. You will be evaluated for financial aid for fall 2021 and awarded a package that pertains to that school year. The COVID-19 Relief Scholarship will not be provided in this case.

Confirming Enrollment:

We are sensitive to the challenges our students and families are facing during the pandemic. If you haven’t already confirmed your enrollment and would like to do so, we encourage you to reach out to the Office of Admission to see how we can offer support.

Refunds: We understand that things may change for you and your family. Per our normal policy, we have offered full refunds for confirmations canceled through May 1. In the event that you still need to cancel your confirmation, we will consider appeals to have your deposit refunded. You can begin the refund appeal process by reaching out to your Admission counselor.

High school transcripts: Check with your high school to confirm that they are able to provide us with your transcripts by July 15. If they cannot, we will continue to accept transcripts for first-year students through the fall 2020 term and will not rescind your conditional offer of admission because of the missed deadline.

We encourage you to submit your unofficial transcripts, or report your senior-year grades and graduation status, once the school year officially ends. You can submit documents via an online service such as Parchment, email them to or mail them to our office.

Community college courses: Pacific will accept “Credit” or “Pass” grading for courses taken in winter, spring or summer 2020, and the credit for those classes will be applicable to appropriate articulations and course transfer credit requirements.

Financial Aid

The financial aid team is working remotely, answering phone calls and responding to emails Monday through Friday.

COVID-19 Relief Scholarship: The University of the Pacific Board of Regents has approved a scholarship to assist new undergraduate students so that you can focus on starting your degree program in the fall. The scholarship will provide the following financial support:

  • Eligible admitted students who confirm their enrollment for fall 2020 will automatically receive up to $1,450 per academic year toward tuition.
  • New students who will be enrolled in full-time degree programs and who meet all other eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters beginning in the fall 2020 semester.
  • The Office of Financial Aid will automatically offer the scholarship to eligible students and is working on updating awards, if applicable. No action is required on your part.

Please visit the COVID-19 Relief Scholarship website for more information.

Appeals for additional financial aid: We understand that you may have experienced loss of income or unexpected expenses such as unreimbursed medical expenses for COVID-19 treatment. Although funding is limited, we may be able to assist you and your family. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid  to speak to a counselor who will guide you through completing an appeal application and submitting the necessary documentation.

Options for transfer students with student loan payments: Federal student loan borrowers are automatically being placed in an administrative forbearance, which allows you to temporarily stop making your monthly loan payment. This suspension of payments will last until Sept. 30, 2020, but you can still make payments if you choose.

New Student Orientation is taking place online this summer to ensure the health and safety of our campus community. You can visit the New Student Orientation webpage for Orientation schedules and details. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to provide the on-campus Family Orientation experience, so we have issued fee refunds to the original form of payment for each family member who registered. If a family member registered and they have not yet received the refund, or if you have any questions, please email or call 209.946.7619.
