Saturday Partners in Education (PIE)

Saturday Partners in Education is designed to bring children to the University of the Pacific and give them a glimpse into college life. While interacting with university students on campus, kids will participate in a variety of games, activities, and learning experiences that make college a real possibility.

PIE Quick Facts: Our fall 2018 Saturday PIE form is available here. Saturday PIE is currently done for the academic year and will return in late September 2018. The program is for youth ages 6-14 years. The cost is $10 per child, which is non-refundable. Please contact us at 209-946-2444 if you need financial assistance. Program runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the University of the Pacific campus. Lunch is included. Drop-off begins at 9:30am and pick-up is at 3:00 at Burns Tower. 

Advanced registration is required as groups are limited in size. Your reservation cannot be guaranteed until your payment is made. Please make checks payable to the Center for Community Involvement.

A typical Saturday PIE Includes: 

  • A theme (examples include "It's Showtime!", "Let's Build Something Together", and "Harvest Celebration") as well as creative and interactive icebreaker activities 
  • A main educational component (examples include Producing and Acting with the Theater Department and Building Experiments with the Engineering Department) 
  • Lunch at the DeRosa University Center Marketplace 
  • Action components with Baun Fitness Center Student Staff 
  • Arts and Crafts Project
