About the Scholarship
University of the Pacific stands out nationally by creating the COVID-19 Relief Scholarship for new and returning students.
To help ease the significant financial burdens many students and families may be facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, University of the Pacific’s Board of Regents approved new funding to assist students so that they can focus on pursuing their degree programs.
University of the Pacific’s COVID-19 Relief Scholarship provides the following financial support:
- For new and returning undergraduate students, a $1,450 annual tuition scholarship for students enrolled in full-time degree programs. Eligible undergraduate students will receive the annual scholarship each year of their enrollment for up to eight consecutive semesters based on their class year. (For example, a freshman entering in fall 2020 would receive scholarship funds for a maximum of eight consecutive semesters.) Eligible transfer students will receive the scholarship for four to six semesters depending on whether they entered as juniors or sophomores.
- $400,000 in need-based aid for eligible graduate, dental, law and pharmacy students experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19.
Undergraduate students who do not need to take advantage of the relief scholarship may elect to waive the scholarship, thus making it available to supplement scholarships to students with greater need.
