Dr. Jeff Levine is dean of undergraduate admission at University of the Pacific.  Prior to joining Pacific, he served as director of admissions and enrollment planning at State University of New York Farmingdale State College, on Long Island.  Farmingdale enrolled its largest first-year class for both fall 2020 and fall 2021 while maintaining academic standards. 

Jeff has previously served in admission and enrollment management leadership roles in Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. These include working in The University of Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas community college systems.  He began as a tour guide at The University of Texas at Austin and was later hired back as an admission counselor. 

He has presented for several enrollment organizations, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Strategic Enrollment Management Conference (AACRAO SEM), and served as a guest lecturer in higher education graduate programs at Seton Hall and Kansas State.  Jeff has been published nationally for enrollment management strategy in College & University, Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly, and is a past Executive Committee member for Texas Association for College Admission Counseling. Currently, he is serving a three-year term on the Editorial Board for the Global Community for Academic Advising (NACADA).

Education

Jeff earned a B.A. in American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Supervision from University of Houston, was a Summer Fellow in Higher Education Management at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, and has a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University.
