Welcome to Counseling and Psychological Services!

CAPS staff would like to reach out in solidarity to the families of those who were killed at Umpqua Community College, and with all those who are grieving during this time. The CAPS staff is available to meet with any students who are upset by these events and would like to speak with a therapist. Students are welcome to call CAPS (209-946-2315, extension 2) or walk over to the Cowell Wellness Center to make an appointment.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of the Pacific provides assistance to students who are encountering depression, anxiety, adjustment problems and/or who are experiencing emotional distress. Our therapists are trained to aid students in building self-confidence, making healthy choices, choosing assertive communication, relating to others, developing/solidifying identity, and working with more serious mental health concerns. In addition, CAPS offers crisis consultation, and outreach programming.
