The physical dimension involves maintaining a healthy quality of life that allows one to perform daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. It is developed through a combination of beneficial physical activity/exercise, healthy eating habits and avoiding harmful habits such as tobacco, drugs and excessive alcohol consumption. Physical wellness encourages the building of muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance and flexibility. It entails understanding and respecting the relationship between sound nutrition and the functioning and uniqueness of each human body. Responsibility and self-care for minor illnesses and appropriate use of the medical system is key for optimal physical wellness.

Baun Fitness Center
The Baun Fitness Center (BFC) is the flagship facility for Pacific Recreation's innovative programs and services that include RecSports, Sport Clubs, TigerX classes, Tiger Training, and Tiger Escapes.

Do you have questions about nutrition? Would you like to learn more about healthy eating? Nutrition services are available to all students who have paid the Cowell Wellness Center fee. Have a general question? Like NutriCat on facebook for healthy wellness tips just for Pacific students, staff and faculty.

Pacific Health Services
The Cowell Wellness Center offers a variety of health services to all eligible students from any of Pacific's three campuses. In addition to primary care, the Wellness Center offers physicals, immunizations, women's care, medications, and referrals. 

Alcohol Education Classes and Assessment Abroad Programs
Student conduct offers two levels of alcohol education programs. Check out the E-CHUG Alcohol Assessment survey that allows Pacific students to enter information about their drinking patterns. You will receive feedback regarding the use of alcohol and how you compare with other peers. This self-guided assessment is easy to use and takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Center for Community Involvement
The purpose of the Center for Community Involvement is to inspire, support and prepare students to successfully address their concerns through service to the community and the society in which they live in.

Pacific is a Division 1 Athletic program in the Big West Conference. This website gives information about games, athletes, and ticket information.

Smoking cessation Education
The Smoking Cessation Program is based on the Rxforchange clinician -assisted tobacco cessation program offered through the University of California, San Francisco and also a Memory Decline Screening Program. It is offered through the Pharmaceutical Care Clinic at the Pharmacy school.

Pacific Food Pantry
he Pacific Food Pantry is an on-campus resource for students, staff and faculty who are facing a food scarcity situation. The pantry is open 8am-6pm Monday through Friday in the Cowell Wellness Center. A Paciifc ID must be shown to access the pantry, but the service is completely confidential.

The American Heart Association offers this survey to illuminate the benefits that regular exercise has on your heart. It also details heart healthy exercise myths and how to get results without putting yourself at risk.

Health at Every Size is based on the simple premise that the best way to improve health is to honor your body. It supports people in adopting health habits for the sake of health and well-being (rather than weight control).

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Daily tips and monthly features related to nutrition. This website contains nutrition fact sheets on topics such as fats, oils and sweeteners, vitamins and minerals and weight management.

Center for Science in the Public Interest
CSPI is a leading consumer and health rights advocacy organization. Find articles from Nutrition Action Healthletter related to nutrition, industry practices, and recent scientific findings. The website contains an interactive quiz to assess your diet.

Vegetarian Resource Group
The Vegetarian Resource Group (VRG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public on vegetarianism and the issues of health, nutrition and ethics. This site offers recipes and suggestions for a vegetarian lifestyle.

Healthline offers a way to check your symptoms to determine what may ail you, as well as explore drugs and treatments and find a doctor who can assist you. You'll also find articles about healthy living covering a variety of topics, interactive tools and tips to achieve optimal health and wellness.

Planned Parenthood- North Stockton
Planned Parenthood Health Centers provide high quality family planning and reproductive health care to women, men and teens. Each health center provides safe, reliable services that prevent unintended pregnancies through contraception; reduces the spread of sexually transmitted infections through testing and treatment; and screens for cervical and other cancers.
