"There are lots of opportunities at Pacific, both on- and off-campus, and a lot of people to help you find those opportunities.

It’s also a very open-minded community, and there are a lot of diverse clubs and activities.”

Academics

“The Media X program at Pacific is really hands-on. I’ve been able to use a motion-capture system, a green screen room, a motion picture studio…

and I’ve learned a lot more about cameras, which I’ve really enjoyed. We get to be the ones in front of the cameras and behind them.”

Activities

“Miracle Mile, right behind the university, has a lot of different restaurants. One of my favorites is a New Orleans Creole-style restaurant, and there’s a great crepe place there called Midtown Creperie. It’s so good.”

Life At Pacific

“We put on shows like 'Legally Blonde' and 'High School Musical'”

Q:

Could you tell us a little about the performing arts club you’re involved with at Pacific?

A:

“It’s called the Performance Entertainment Philanthropy Club, and we put on shows like 'Legally Blonde' and 'High School Musical.' This semester we're thinking of doing online talent classes, where we show people with their different talents, like a cooking class, or acting, dancing, photography, sewing for costumes - all kinds of things.”

Getting Involved

“We had two guest speakers visit during my first year–one of them was Chris Schueler, who's an award-winning documentary filmmaker. We also had a cast member come from 'Little House on the Prairie,' and we had the opportunity to make a short ad with them, which was really cool.”

Studying outside

“Most of all, I love the smaller class sizes at Pacific–you get to really form bonds with your professors. I know all my professors by name, and I even got to do an internship with one of them.”
