“One of the things that drew me to Pacific is its small size. In high school, I was the type of student who would reach out to my teachers and ask questions.
At some universities, the classes have hundreds of students, and I didn't feel like I would succeed in those environments.”
“It’s really easy to get involved in undergraduate research projects here.
I’ve conducted research with three different professors and had my name included in their publications, including a summer project where we studied nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria as an environmentally friendly fertilizer."
Pacific provides services at 4 different health clinics in Stockton, including the Speech, Hearing and Language Center
“CIP is a community involvement program. We organize activities with youth in Stockton–for example, one time we hosted a reading event where we dressed up as superheroes like Black Panther, and talked to them about how to be leaders in their communities.”
"I proposed the idea of starting a soccer league, and now we do it every semester”
What are some fun recreational activities you like to do in your spare time outside of class?
“I love to play soccer. I played in high school, and a few of us played from Admissions when I worked there as a counselor. I proposed the idea of starting a league, and now we do it every semester.”
