“My professors are really thoughtful and caring, and they’re always willing to take time out of their day to help you. I can send an email and get a reply an hour later. It’s been amazing.”

Academics

"In one particular math class, I was having a tough time. I repeated it over the summer and I got an amazing professor who stayed after class to go through it with me.

With his guidance, I was able to pass with a B+, which was an amazing achievement.”

Pacific students can gain real-world experience managing a $3.7 million investment portfolio via the Pacific Student Investment Fund; one of only 200 funds of its type worldwide.

Activities

“As a sophomore, I was the booking manager on the arts and entertainment team, and that's where I found my love for the music industry. We have performers who come to Pacific, and I was in charge of making sure they were taken care of, their equipment was set up, etc. After I want to get my master's degree, and hopefully be an agent or work for a music company or record label.”

Life At Pacific

"We’re only an hour away from both Sacramento and San Francisco"

Q:

What’s your favorite thing about Pacific’s location?

A:

"Stockton is really amazing. You build a great Pacific community on campus and they put on lots of fun events, then we’re only an hour away from both Sacramento and San Francisco – as well as Yosemite and the foothills. It's a really central location for a lot of things."

Getting Involved

"We have one initiative where we go to elementary schools and teach students that college is achievable for them, and how to believe in themselves. It’s like a big family; that’s the best way I can explain it. Some of my best friends have come out of the program.”

“I’ve found some amazing female mentors at Pacific. I had a difficult time speaking up for myself, and they’ve definitely given me the tools not only to be assertive in my career, but in life. I feel really confident that I'll be able to thrive once I’m out of college.”
