Move-in day for two Pacific sisters

University of the Pacific welcomed students back to campus for the first time in 489 days on July 17 for a very special summer program, Back to Pacific: Ready, Set, Roar!

Sisters Naeli and Amaranta Perla were quick to jump at the opportunity to step foot on campus and take part in all the activities we have planned for students this summer. Naeli, a second-year student, and Amaranta, a first-year, are both studying psychology at Pacific and living on campus for the first time —together.

The Perla family made the short drive from Dublin, in the Bay Area, to move their girls into Grace Covell Hall. Safe to say they were impressed by our spacious and recently renovated rooms.

Like many of our Tigers, the Perla sisters are excited to get the Pacific experience in person after a long year away. And to say we’re excited to have our students back is an understatement.

Grace Covell Hall is Pacific’s recently renovated first-year residence hall, housing 307 students in double occupancy rooms. Grace is a co-ed building with both single-gender and all-gender bathrooms on each floor, laundry available on each floor and five study lounges throughout the building.

You can watch a tour of Grace Covell to learn more about the residential hall.
