English professor receives inaugural Meredith Endowed Professorship

University of the Pacific Professor Xiaojing Zhou, who stresses the importance of a strong teacher-student dynamic, is the inaugural recipient of the Lawrence Meredith Endowed Professorship in the Humanities. The five-year endowed professorship honors Meredith, who joined Pacific in 1966 and taught for 33 years.

A University of the Pacific professor with the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy is leading a research team to help patients suffering from post-COVID 19 symptoms after successfully treating a woman using technology not available at any other pharmacy school.

The range of topics was as expansive as the talent as students presented how 3D models could help detect ovarian cancer, how technology can help predict the stock market and the effects of income inequality in Stockton at Pacific's 21st annual Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference.

Graduate students showcase leading-edge research during awards competition

University of the Pacific students presented projects on leading-edge research ranging from an analysis of proteins used to treat cancer and a study that analyzed music playlists to treat anxiety during the annual Graduate and Professional Student Research and Awards Showcase.
