On August 17, Pacific’s first-year and returning students will be moving in and officially starting Fall 2024!
Here’s everything you need to know for move-in:
Where to park
We recommend snagging a parking space close to your residence hall.
Quad Communities
If you are moving into the quad communities, you’ll probably want to park here – on the west side of the DeRosa University Center and next to Baun Fitness Center (look for the red pin on the map). To get here, turn onto Larry Heller Drive from North Pershing Avenue. Take Larry Heller Drive all the way down, go straight at the stop sign, and continue until the road ends here, at the parking lot.
Grace Covell / Greek Housing
If you are moving into Grace Covell or a Greek house, you should park here – on the east side of the DeRosa University Center and behind Greek life housing. To get to this lot, turn onto West Knoles Way off Pacific Avenue. Take a right to drive through the Burns Tower parking lot and follow Chapel Lane around Grace Covell Hall. Take a left at President’s Drive and follow this road past the DeRosa University Center and into the parking lot.
How to check in
Once you’ve parked, leave your belongings and walk to the DeRosa University Center (DUC) to check in. Here, you will receive:
- Your room key
- Your PacificCard (student ID)
- An Orientation and Week of Welcome schedule
Moving in and setting up your room
You’ve checked in and received your room key and PacificCard, now it’s time to move your things into your room!
For large items like furniture or TVs, there are limited, five-minute unloading zones outside your building. These are not permanent parking spaces and only allow five-minute drop-offs, so we recommend saving your large items for last in the case that you need to pull your car up closer.
For assistance with locating unloading zones, questions about your room or building, or issues with your key/swipe access, flag down one of the Pacific staff, resident assistants or area coordinators.
We cannot wait to welcome you to campus! Congratulations on starting your Pacific journey, and we will see you August 17!
