On Thursday, Feb. 27, Vice President Burnie Atterbury announced organizational changes within the division of Development and Alumni Relations that will provide strategic leadership during the University's upcoming campaign.
The following leadership changes and promotions that will be effective March 1, 2014:
Two Associate Vice Presidents will be focused on fundraising: Janet Dial, associate vice president for individual giving, and Cathy Dodson, associate vice president for corporate and foundation relations, planned giving and annual giving, with continuing responsibilities for divisional budgets and talent management.
Scott Rivinius, currently executive director of stewardship and donor relations, will assume the role of assistant vice president for advancement operations. His role includes oversight of stewardship and donor relations, advancement services, events, and campaign operations.
These changes are in concert with an overall strategy to put more resources to direct fundraising while decreasing overall fundraising expenses. The division has also redirected personnel investments to allow the internal funding of two direct fundraising positions: assistant director of corporate and foundation relations and director of parent relations.
