Alena Chunn is a treasury analyst in Business and Finance.

Melany Crews is the assistant director for student activities in ASUOP.

Corey Crowley is the digital media and video manager in Athletics media relations.

Daniel Llarenas is the assistant men's tennis coach intern in Athletics.

Mia Angela Okamoto and Sonal Sharma are behavior specialists in the College of the Pacific Department of Psychology.

Kady Pooler is the assistant women's tennis coach intern in Athletics.

Yasmine Potts is an institutional research analyst in Institutional Research.

Edvin Soto is an access services specialist-evenings in the University Library.

Sydney Vogel is an athletics business office intern in Athletics.    

Notable changes

Bett SchumacherBett Schumacher was promoted to the position of Chief of Staff in the Office of the President effective Sept. 1. The Chief of Staff (COS) is the principal aide to the President, providing specialized services and support on a broad range of matters of institutional importance. As COS, Schumacher will assist in providing leadership and direction for initiatives, special projects, time or critically sensitive decisions and policy development, and will serve as the President's liaison with University and community constituencies, with wide authority to act on her behalf.

Marylou Bagus was promoted to interim assistant director of the Center for Community Involvement in Student Life.   

Elinore Ceballos has transferred to the position of administrative assistant II in the College of the Pacific Department of Art  

Sian Carr-Lopez '85, associate dean for professional programs in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, will be taking a management role within the pharmacy department, VA Northern California. She has asked to transition into a part-time role beginning September 30 where she will be assisting with the Medicare Part D outreach, completing some research projects and assisting in various administrative tasks. During her 24 years at Pacific, Dr. Carr-Lopez has been an award-winning teacher, a respected scholar, and has provided important leadership at Pacific and in professional organizations.  

Allen Shek, professor and vice chair of pharmacy practice in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, will be taking over Dr. Carr-Lopez's position as associate dean for Professional Programs in the Thomas J. Long School of  Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  

Joseph Woelfel '70, '72, '78, assistant professor in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, was named chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice effective August 20, 2014. Woelfel has been vice chair for the past several years and has extensive administrative experience serving as the director of Pharmacy Services and Patient Safety Officer at Lodi Memorial for over 20 years. He was also an assistant editor of the Pharmacist's Letter for nearly a decade.
