United Way pledges at one-third of campaign goal with one month to go

Oct 26, 2015

As of Friday, Oct. 23, the Stockton campus United Way campaign is already one-third toward this year's goal of $110,000 with pledges totaling $37,256.12. Thanks to all who have responded so quickly to help us get off to such a good start. We have a little more than a month left to achieve our campaign goal and every dollar counts.

Remember, you can make either one-time gifts or annual pledges of any amount, and the payroll deduction option makes it easy to give. For those renewing their pledges from last year, there is also an option to complete your pledge online. For those making one-time contributions or pledging for the first time, please use the pledge form provided in the packet you received from your unit's campaign coordinator.

Contributions of any amount may be designated to any 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. If you already donate to a favorite charity, please consider making your donation through the United Way Campus Campaign. Donations can be made as a one-time gift or through a monthly pledge. Please know that out of every dollar gifted to United Way of San Joaquin, no less than 90 cents goes directly to the nonprofits.  United Way of San Joaquin operates on less than 10% of their annual giving received.

Help us continue to demonstrate to our community that Pacific knows the importance of giving. Please contact your department's United Way Leader or call me at 209.946.2753 if you have any questions.

Thank you for your support of this very important effort where everyone in our community benefits,

Steven Whyte, University Events Manager
2015-16 United Way Campaign Chair
