Welcome to The Brubeck Institute, established in honor of legendary jazz pioneer Dave Brubeck '42, and his wife and fellow University of the Pacific alum, Iola Brubeck '45.
Established in 2000, the Brubeck Institute is home to one of the foremost jazz programs in the world, with signature offerings including the Brubeck Institute Jazz Fellowship and the Brubeck Institute Summer Jazz Colony. The Institute is also home to the Brubeck Collection, one of the largest comprehensive collections from a contemporary musician, and an invaluable resource for scholarship and research.

Award-winning pianist and composer Edward Simon joins the Brubeck Institute as a visiting Artist-in-Residence!
We are pleased to welcome Edward Simon as our newest visiting Artist-in Residence. Edward, a multi-award-winning Venezuelan pianist and composer, currently performs with the SFJAZZ Collective, an all-star jazz ensemble comprising of eight of the finest performer/composers at work in jazz today.
