Tigers Basketball Opens with Home Game

The Pacific men's basketball team opens the 2011-12 exhibition season with a home game against Cal State East Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. The game will follow a women's basketball game against the Academy of Art at 5:00 p.m. It will be the first chance for fans to see the new look Tigers, as the men's team returns just two letterwinners from last year's 16-15 team. Though four other redshirts return, 14 players will be debuting in the Orange and Black this year. more

Men's Swim Team Win One and Lose One

The Pacific men's swim team handily defeated Seattle U but fell to Air Force on the first day of a quad meet Friday, November 4, at Kjeldsen Pool. The Tigers outscored Seattle U 119-86 and lost to Air Force 118-87. Numerous Tigers had stellar showings on the day. Sophomore Oliver Simkovic took first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:05.71. He also finished second in the 100 Back (52.03) and fourth in the 100 Fly (52.51).  more

Women's Swim Team Beats Two

The Pacific women's swim team defeated both Fresno State and Seattle U in a quad meet Friday, November 4, at Kjeldsen Pool. The Tigers outscored Fresno State 112-93 and routed Seattle U 153-52 behind six first-place finishes. Pacific opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay. The group, comprised of junior Becca Wyant, junior Mallory McGowan, freshman Dekel Shahaf, and senior Jayme Swalin, clocked in at 1:45.68. Shahaf also had an individual win in the 200 IM, touching the wall at 2:09.02. more
