* The Pacific Seminars were the foundation of Pacific's successful proposal for the AAC&U Core Commitments Leadership Consortium. The purpose of this consortium is to be national leaders in making personal and social responsibility an essential learning goal in higher education. Pacific was one of eighteen schools to receive a $25,000 grant. The consortium lasted from 2007-09. 

* AAC&U identified Pacific as an exemplary LEAP (Liberal Education and America's Promise) institution by inviting Pacific to present on the Pacific Seminars at the spring 2009 Academic Renewal Conference. 

* Pacific was one of eleven universities to be selected by AAC&U to produce a video on best educational practices. Our video focused on the Pacific Seminars.  The videos were aired at the 2008 annual AAC&U meeting in Washington, D.C. 

* Pacific was one of six institutions profiled in Integrated General Education: New Directions for Teaching and Learning, ed. Catherine Wehlberg (Jossey-Bass, no. 121, spring 2010).

* Pacific was one of seven institutions profiled in the Eduventures report "Innovations in General Education Redesign Collaborative Report: Case Study Analysis," March 2010. Eduventures is a research and consulting firm for higher education.

* Pacific was invited by AAC&U to conduct a pre-conference workshop on the Pacific Seminars at the annual 2008 AAC&U General Education meeting in Boston.  Thirty-four different institutions attended this workshop, which sold out.

* There have been presentations on the Pacific Seminars at the following AAC&U events: the 2007 Annual Meeting, the 2008 Annual Meeting, the 2008 Core Commitments Summer Institute, and the 2009 Academic Renewal Conference in Minneapolis.

* Pacific has made two presentations on Pacific Seminars 1 and 2 at the Annual National Resource Center Conference on the First-Year Experience.

* The Director of General Education was invited to give a presentation on the Pacific Seminars at Temple University to help Temple revise its general education program.

* The quality of the PACS 1 reader and course has been recognized by Dr. Patricia King (U of Michigan), one of the leading researchers on cognitive development in college. Dr. King wrote a preface for the PACS 1 reader.

* The quality of the PACS 3 reader and course has been recognized by Dr. Anne Colby, one of the leading researchers on moral development at the Carnegie Foundation. Dr. Colby wrote a blurb for the PACS 3 course reader that is part of the reader introduction.
