Changes to Pacific’s masking and testing requirements
Dear Pacificans,
We want to express our sincere appreciation for your ongoing commitment to keeping the community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your diligence has helped reduce the spread of the virus while maintaining in-person teaching, learning and campus operations.
Given our progress thus far and the consistently low positivity rates we’re seeing in our weekly on-campus testing, we are making the following adjustments to our COVID-19 requirements:
Masking
- We are ending our universitywide indoor masking requirement March 25 on the Stockton and Sacramento campuses and April 4 on the San Francisco Campus.
- You may wish to continue to mask. We respect and honor each individual’s choice and preference.
- Masking requirements for health care instruction and patient care on our three campuses will continue to be tailored to the specific requirements for those settings.
Weekly Testing
- We are ending our universitywide weekly testing requirement for students and employees March 25 on the Stockton and Sacramento campuses and April 4 on the San Francisco Campus.
- However, students and employees who are not fully vaccinated must continue to test on campus weekly.
- We will continue to provide on-campus testing for anyone in our Pacific community who wants it.
Vaccinations/Boosters
- Pacific continues to require all students and employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to get their booster dose as soon as they are eligible.
- Starting April 15, we will begin to implement progressive discipline for students and employees who haven’t received their booster dose once eligible.
- View current vaccination and booster rates for our community.
