COVID-19 Updates for the Upcoming Spring Semester

Dear Pacificans,

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continue to monitor the level of incidences of respiratory disease due to multiple viruses (RSV, influenza and COVID-19). Pacific’s COVID-19 Council would like to remind you of the following guidelines to protect the health, safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors.Vaccinations and boosters

  • Vaccinations are highly effective in preventing influenza and COVID-19.
  • Pacific requires all students and employees to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations. This includes primary doses of vaccines, as well as boosters that are recommended for individuals based on their eligibility.
  • To find influenza and COVID-19 vaccination locations and register for an appointment, visit California’s MyTurn.

Testing kits available Covid test kits will be available as follows (through Jan. 23):Stockton Campus

  • Donald and Karen De Rosa University Center
  • William Knox Holt Memorial Library and Learning Center
  • Calaveras Hall
  • Grace Covell Hall
  • Sorority and fraternity houses

Sacramento Campus

  • Gordon D. Schaber Law Library
  • Gary V. Schaber Memorial Student Center
  • Mailroom in Fuller Hall
  • Legal Studies Center
  • Student Life/Human Resources Building

COVID-19 test kits can also be obtained through health care providers, local and online retailers, pharmacies and other sources. Students can be tested at the Student Health Centers on each campus.Symptoms

  • If you feel ill or test positive for COVID-19:
    • Students should contact the Student Health Center (209.946.2315, option 1) or their health care provider.
    • Employees should stay home and contact their health care provider.
    • Avoid contact with others.
  • Review the CDC’s guidelines for influenza.
  • Read Pacific’s current COVID-19 isolation and quarantine requirements to determine the duration of your isolation or quarantine period.
  • If you test positive, please report the results here.

Facial coverings

  • Facial coverings are required for students, faculty and staff working in or visiting health care settings on all of our campuses.
  • Facial coverings are required for anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Facial coverings for all others are optional and are strongly encouraged in indoor settings during this period of increased respiratory disease incidences.
