Draft policy on Alcohol, Meals and Catering available for review and comment

The President's Advisory Council is developing a set of policies to help ensure consistent business practices across the university and to help reduce and contain costs. As part of this effort, the implementation team has drafted a policy that will provide guidelines to staff, faculty and student employees regarding purchasing alcohol, meals and catering for university functions.

Before the policy becomes effective in late May, Pacific faculty and staff are invited to review and comment on the draft at the Policies Review SharePoint site. The comment period will close on May 7, 2019.

You can contact members of the committee at policies@pacific.edu with general questions or to request a meeting with your department or committee to learn more about the new policy.

The remaining cost-reduction policies under development will address technology purchasing and travel. Along with the mobile device policy implemented last fall, and the contracts policies implemented this spring, the new alcohol, meals and catering policy will enable Pacific to reduce expenses and ensure good stewardship of university resources through consistent, universitywide approaches to operations.
