Pacific hosts virtual on-campus job fair

Career Fair

Students can meet with on-campus employers about jobs

All current students are invited to the virtual On-Campus Job Fair on Sept. 9 from 1:30-4:30 p.m., organized by Career Services. Students have the opportunity to virtually meet with on-campus departments looking to hire students for work-study and non-work study positions. The fair will be hosted on Handshake, where students can interact with employers through video, audio or chat.

“Career Services has been planning new ways to help students prepare for their job search and connect with employers virtually,” said Michelle Arcos, the Assistant Director for Corporate and Employer Engagement. “We are excited to partner with Handshake to run our virtual on-campus job fair to help our colleagues and students build meaningful connections and job opportunities in a new and easy platform.”.

During the virtual On-Campus Job Fair there will be two different ways to meet with employers:

Group sessions: During these 30-minute sessions you’ll join other students to meet on-campus employers and other department staff. You’ll learn about job and internship opportunities, department information and more. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask your own questions.

One-on-one sessions: This is an opportunity to have a 10-minute chat directly with an employer about jobs and internships. You can choose a block of time in the employer’s schedule. Additionally, employers also have the option to invite you to attend virtual sessions with them.

Several Pacific departments have already released their session schedule, including university development, orientation and transition programs, Pacific sustainability, and the writing center.

Registration is required to attend the event and schedule sessions with on-campus employers. Before scheduling sessions, update your Handshake profile and upload your resume.
