Pacific launching new website fall 2020

The Office of Marketing and Communications and Pacific Technology are excited to announce they are partnering to redesign University of the Pacific’s website. The overall goal of this important initiative is to improve the way users experience our website, which will contribute to increased enrollment, fundraising, community engagement and support.

The project will include revamping the website to be more marketing and enrollment focused, procuring a new content management system, developing an intranet for employee communications and information, and establishing a governance process to curate quality content and to maintain the integrity of the site’s design and structure.

The anticipated completion timeframe is fall 2020 with significant milestones achieved throughout the project.

A steering committee composed of faculty, staff, students, administrators, alumni and a community member will meet throughout the project and has been charged by Interim President Maria Pallavacini to:

  • Serve as subject matter experts and/or advisors for their school, college or division and to gather and provide input on the proposed content and site structure for the website and employee intranet site;
  • Provide feedback on the proposed governance structure;
  • Ensure the project meets or exceeds ADA standards; and
  • Share regular updates with colleagues and serve as project ambassadors.

A SharePoint site has been set up to provide updates throughout the project.
