Political Science Major elected delegate for the California Democratic Party

Dustin Brakebill

Dustin J. Brakebill is completing his first semester at Pacific and is already achieving exciting goals in his college career. Brakebill is the President of the Young Democrats of San Joaquin County, he is the North Central Valley Regional Director for the California Young Democrats and was elected as a delegate for the California Democratic Party. He is also a fellow for Third City Coalition, Stockton Service Corps, and is part of the Building Blocks fellowship where he is involved in civic engagement.

Brakebill also had the opportunity of participating in exciting roles related to his career interest. During the 2020 General Election, he had the opportunity of working as the office manager and organizer for the Susan Talamantes-Eggman for State Senate campaign.

Brakebill shares that Pacific’s Career Services Center helped him achieve these goals thanks to the services it offers. He participated in the Career and Internship Orientation class led by a career advisor, Dan Shaw, who also helped him with his resume and LinkedIn networking skills.

He encourages students to take opportunities, network, and always ask questions when presented with new opportunities. “My advice to students is to learn no matter what and say yes to opportunities,” says Brakebill.

The Career Service Center is excited about Brakebill’s achievements and looks forward to supporting him in his future career journey.
