Student Health Services transitions to remote health care, continues to support Pacific community

Student Health Services has been transitioning to remote health care services and continues to support the health and well-being of the University of the Pacific community.

We have upgraded technology while establishing partnerships with national leaders in the field of college health and primary care services.

We were the first national pilot site for College Health TV, one of the nation’s top college health online streaming services. Our feedback assisted the organization in developing a program to stream its National College Health Educational program from our website.

We continue to expand our partnership with Campus Well to bring relevant and reliable customized health and well-being programming to Pacific students via mobile app, social media, email and print. The efforts are helping us reach students. In April, 1,782 students visited our App or _tigerhealth Instagram page.

During sheltering in place, we updated technology so clinical staff and students could communicate via a secured portal, telephone, text messaging and video appointments. In April, we engaged with 830 students.

We are having discussions with local and national health care partners to continue developing the highest quality of services for our students on our three campuses throughout the pandemic and beyond.

We are very proud of our students, staff, faculty and the Pacific community. Their resilience and determination during this pandemic continues to inspire us.
