Pacific's Pre-college Summer Program

The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the two-week program, Pacific Institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces. The program runs from June 19–July 1.

In short, Pacific Institute students will experience firsthand the college experience.

Learning

Students can choose from a wide variety of topics to learn from in small, personalized learning environments that are the hallmark of a Pacific education. Topics include:

  • video game design
  • filmmaking
  • sports analytics
  • stock investments
  • music production

Living

Pacific Institute participants will live for two weeks on the Stockton campus of University of the Pacific, and experience the same residence halls, extracurricular areas and study spaces that our university students utilize during the academic year.

Student Life

Each night there will be a host of activities to choose from, ranging from movies under the stars, concerts, arts and crafts, esports and karaoke to swimming, basketball, volleyball and other activities in our NCAA Division I athletic facilities.
