Authorized User ID Accounts
University students may choose to set up an Authorized User ID to allow a parent or guardian to have some access to their account and make payments.
Instructions for Parents and Guardians
If you are attempting to access CashNet (payment portal for balances) and you are seeing an error that your PIN or password is invalid, please first review the instructions in the email that was received at the time of setup. If you previously logged in and entered a secret answer, but you no longer have your login information, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link to attempt a reset. If the ‘Forgot Password’ link does not appear on the login page, you will need to reach out to the student to request a password reset from them.
Instructions for Students with an Account
Follow the steps below to create an Authorized User ID for a parent or guardian to use.
- Log into MyPacific and complete Okta MFA verification.
- From the Dashboard, click on 'Check/Pay Balances' in the Balances widget that all students should have.
- On the next screen, which will be the CashNet site, select My Account from the sidebar.
- Under the Payers section, click on 'Send a payer invitation’.
- Fill out the details of the person you wish to add, including the name, email address, access level, and optional message.
- Finalize the process by sending the invitation.
The nominated individual should receive an email with an Authorized User ID and default password to use. It will also include a link to get to the CashNet portal. The first time the new Payer logs into their account, they will be prompted to set a new password that meets the displayed criteria.
You can manage Authorized User ID accounts on the same screen where are set up. Resending an invitation will generate a new default password that will be emailed to a Payer needing to get back in. To remove an existing payer or to resend an invitation, click on the pencil icon beside the account name.
