The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion advances belonging, equity and organizational effectiveness across all Pacific campuses through education, consultation and responsive support. We design and deliver learning experiences that build inclusive leadership capacity, support individuals and teams navigating bias and harm, and strengthen the university’s ability to respond thoughtfully to complex community concerns. Our work centers skill-building and shared responsibility for cultivating respectful, inclusive campus environments.

Bias Response

We coordinate the university’s bias response process by receiving reports, assessing concerns and facilitating education-centered, restorative and resource-connected responses. Our approach prioritizes care for impacted individuals, accountability where appropriate and campus-wide learning aimed at preventing future harm.

Canvas Courses

We facilitate two online, self-directed courses that expand capacity for awareness, compassion, understanding and engagement toward equity and social justice.

Inspired by Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr.’s DEI challenge concept and designed by Pacific students, faculty and staff, this course is available to any Pacifican and provides eight modules of content. Complete some or all of the modules at your own pace. Upon successful completion of all modules, you’ll earn a shareable digital badge that can be showcased on your social media profiles, email signature and more.

Guided by interviews with students, faculty, staff and community leaders, this course’s four modules will help you dive deeply into concepts, theories, and practices that can profoundly elevate your equity leadership skills. Successfully completing this course makes you eligible to receive one (1) continuing education unit (CEU). This course is open to all.

Pacific employees can enroll in the course for free—email dei@pacific.edu for more information.
