Academic Division

Katherine Brannum is a new course developer in University College Lifelong Learning.

Michelle Brush is a new faculty support specialist in the McGeorge School of Law.

Cassie Findlay was promoted to administrative assistant III in University College.

Courtney Fulk was promoted to records coordinator II/administrative assistant II in University College.

Tien Ho is a new discovery and technology services specialist-evening and weekend in the University Library.

Danielle Pacrem is the new vocational specialist and job developer in the College of the Pacific Department of Psychology.

Jessica Retes is a new office and business manager for the research office in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Yvonne Rodriguez transferred to the position of group practice receptionist in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry Main Clinic.

Gabrielle Roider is a new administrative assistant I in the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Eric Shepherd was promoted to director of business and operations in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  

2019 Promotion and Tenure Announcement

Congratulations to the following faculty on their promotions.

  • Elisa Chavez has been promoted to professor of diagnostic sciences in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

  • Leticia Ferreira has been promoted to associate professor of diagnostic sciences in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

  • Kieran Holland has been promoted to professor of physics in the College of the Pacific.

  • Jenana Maker has been promoted to professor of pharmacy practices in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

  • Dari Tran has been promoted to professor of political science in the College of the Pacific.

  • Kris Alexanderson has been promoted to associate professor of history with tenure in the College of the Pacific.

  • Anthony Dutoi has been promoted to associate professor of chemistry with tenure in the College of the Pacific.

  • Chadi El Kari has been promoted to associate professor of computer science with tenure in the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Business and Finance

Edward Casillas is a new real property asset manager in Capital Planning and Space Management.

Ronald Manning is a new investment analyst in Treasury Management.

Maria Mayorga is a new human resources representative in Human Resources.

Steven Shipes was promoted to security alarm and lock technician in Physical Plant.  

President's Division

Jeff Harris is the new senior director of communications in the  Office of Marketing and Communications. Harris comes most recently from Hawaii Pacific University where he was the director of marketing, responsible for university brand management and marketing communications supporting enrollment, donor relations and athletics.  

José Luis Villegas is the new university videographer and photographer in the Office of Marketing and Communications. An experienced photojournalist, Villegas previously worked at The Sacramento Bee for over 20 years. Prior to that, he was a photographer for the San Jose Mercury News. He graduated from the University of San Francisco/Academy of Art College with a BFA in photography.   

Student Life

Anne Eastlick was promoted to assistant dean of students.

Leticia-Andrea Snoots-Caballero was promoted to assistant director of residential life in Residential Life and Housing.

Wanda Wright was promoted to administrative assistant III in Student Involvement.  

Student Life merges Pacific Recreation and Office of Student Involvement. 
Student Life has been realigning services offered to our students to create stronger synergies in programming. Part of this process involves merging the Office of Student Involvement and Pacific Recreation. Effective immediately, Marc Falkenstein has been appointed as executive director of the new department of Campus Life and University Center Services. Falkenstein will oversee student services including Pacific Recreation, Student Involvement, DeRosa University Center services, Conference Services, Student Activity Center/Clubs and Organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Pacific Bookstore, Student Government (ASuop, Arts and Entertainment, and Graphic Design), and Student Life Marketing and Communication. Falkenstein brings over 13 years of experience to this role and is charged with leading a very strong team of professionals in streamlining services and programming and maintaining facilities.
