Declare and be admitted to a major at the appropriate time for that major. Remember that a change in major may extend the time required to graduate.

  1. Remain in good academic standing at Pacific (2.00 GPA - major and institutional).
  2. Complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of units each year for four years as required by the college/school and major and meet all degree progress checkpoints.
  3. Meet with your faculty adviser each term prior to registration to review your course schedule and academic plan and to monitor progress.
  4. Register for courses within two days of the assigned early registration appointment.
    • Enroll in available courses needed for the program of study.
    • Accept any available section that can be accommodated in your course schedule.
    • Exception: Students who are studying abroad or participating in a full-time off-campus co-op may require a few additional days to register.
  5. Make timely annual applications for all necessary financial assistance to meet registration calendar deadlines.
  6. Apply for graduation by the stated deadline published in the academic and/or term calendars
  7. Monitor your own progress toward a degree using DegreeWorks (the electronic degree check audit system) and ROAR (Roam Online Articulation Reports) regarding transfer work to help you stay on track.
  8. Notify appropriate Pacific office if you are unable to register for a course required for the major or graduation.

Pacific’s Four-Year Guarantee does not pertain to students enrolled in five-year programs and students following individualized learning programs.

There are also a few undergraduate programs which have special requirements or recommendations such as internships or study-abroad. They may affect the length of your study and extend your degree completion to more than four years. Consult your academic adviser and your program faculty to plan the best course of study for you.
