What is your favorite thing to do on campus? My favorite thing to do is to attend Pacific events. For example, the annual event organized by Kilusan is called PCN, or Pilipino Cultural Night. PCN is a student-led production of acting, cultural dancing, singing and more. The Pacific community has a variety of athletic events, Homecoming and more. There are always fun opportunities to show Pacific Pride!

What is your favorite place to go to Stockton? Lincoln Center has all my go-to spots. There are many places to eat, relax and shop. Whether it is Orange Theory Fitness for a fun workout, or a grocery run at Trader Joe's, Lincoln Center has something for everyone! There are fun events such as Music on the Brick walk, the semiannual Sidewalk Sale, and even fun seasonal backdrops for perfect photo opportunities for all friends and family.

What is your favorite movie and why? "Blue Bayou" is a must-watch film that definitely needs a box of tissues prepped by your side! I was able to watch this film because Pacific held an AAPI Heritage Film Festival at the Janet Leigh Theatre in April 2022. This film is important to our history, growth and gratitude. After watching this film, I hope people are motivated to be more educated about our society and to strive for improvement for a better future. Let me know your thoughts if you decide to watch it or if you have watched it!

It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends, study, or simply grab a coffee. My personal favorites are the white chocolate mocha and veggie and cheese panini!

What is your favorite movie and why? I would say, currently, "Little Women," directed by Greta Gerwig! The film focuses on four sisters navigating their personal ambitions and wants within a time of many societal restrictions. I enjoyed how it focused on the struggles between the characters' ambitions and these expectations. Personally, I truly related to Jo March, as much of what she believed reminded me of myself.

It's also next to Mango Crazy and the movie theater.

What is your favorite movie and why? I've got a couple. In no particular order; I, Robot is my childhood favorite movie, it's a crazy sci-fi/futuristic/action/thriller movie. It was always the movie on the TV displays in the electronic store I always went to as a kid. What is your favorite movie?

The Joker with actor Joaquin Phoenix is the most chilling movie I have seen in a long time, and I really enjoyed it! The film had quite a different spin on it than previous films with actors Heath Ledger or even Jack Nicholson, who also portrayed the Joker.

Plan your visit

Students and families I work with: I work with prospective students, families, school and community groups, and other guests visiting Pacific’s Stockton campus. I oversee our campus tours, group visits, and major admission events, and I have the privilege of working with our Tiger Team student ambassadors.

Favorite thing to do on campus: One of my favorite things to do is walk around campus and read the names and plaques recognizing many people, past and present, who have supported Pacific. This always reminds me that so many people at Pacific and throughout the surrounding community truly want to see our students succeed. They also remind me that we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and helped make Pacific what it is today. There is so much history here, and I enjoy learning a little more about it every time I walk around campus.

Favorite thing to do in Stockton: I am still fairly new to Stockton, so one of my favorite things has been exploring different local coffee shops. I recently discovered Bennet’s Coffee in Stockton’s historic Yosemite Street Village neighborhood. It is a cute little shop with good vibes, a great cup of coffee, and a quiet atmosphere where you can study, read a book, or simply slow down for a while.

What's your favorite movie: I can never choose between Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3. They bring back so many memories of watching them with my little brother over and over again, to the point that we could recite almost every line. The movies had everything we loved: comedy, action, and two people supporting each other no matter what trouble they got into. More than anything, they remind me of the bond I share with my brother, the fun we had growing up, and the importance of working together to get through whatever life puts in front of you.

What is your favorite place to go to in Stockton? One of my favorite places to go in Stockton is Garlic Brothers. I really enjoy dining outside on the water and I can always count on them to make the perfect Tri-tip salad! It’s a great place to meet up with friends and family while enjoying the live music and the beautiful view of the Delta water ways.

What is your favorite movie? It’s hard for me to choose a favorite movie because I like so many genres. Lately I’ve been interested in documentaries. A cool one that I've recently watched is called Queen Cleopatra, this depiction of her kept her true to her ethnic background. I also like movies that are based on true stories, one of my favorites is Ray. Great movie with great music! However, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that I’m a Marvel fan!
