At a time of widespread access to AI, many educators are wondering how they can protect the validity of their assessments and mitigate academic dishonesty. This workshop introduces the concept of assessment security, a set of guiding principles and practices for preventing misconduct in assessment. We will explore practical, evidence-based strategies for protecting assessments and discuss how to balance security, validity, integrity and the teacher-student relationship.
