Safezone Training

This training is ideal for folks wanting to increase their awareness and also learn some basic skills to better support LGTBQ+ students and folks in general. The SafeZone training will take place April 4th 2023 at 12:30PM-1:45PM in WPC 219. The purpose of the SafeZone training provides a basic fundamental understanding of sexualities and genders that fall outside of the societal norm. While this training is not intended to make you an expert in LGBTQ+ matters, it will provide you with terminology and concepts connected to gender and sexuality, as well as an opportunity to examine some biases and privileges that create a marginalized experience for LGBTQ+ folks. Training will be capped at the first 40 people who sign up.
