Academic Division

Alysa Borelli is the new director of graduate admissions and recruitment.  

Rabiah Collins is a new registered dental assistant in the Faculty Dental Service Group in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.  

Jessica Estrada is the new credential and student success specialist in the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education.  

Chad Elliott is the new employment recovery coach in the College of the Pacific Department of Psychology.  

Nancy Flores was promoted to clinic manager in the Department of Clinic Administration in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.  

Emily S. Garcia Uhrig, professor of law in the McGeorge School of Law, has been appointed to a judgeship in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Garcia Uhrig has been a professor at McGeorge since 2006. She was a staff attorney for the Ninth Circuit from 2001 to 2006 and a deputy federal public defender in California's Central District from 1997 to 2001. Her last day at McGeorge was July 1.  

Crystal Heinlo is the new clinic manager in the Department of Orthodontics in the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.  

Faith Keith is the new external program services and budget specialist in the Gladys L. Benerd School of Education.  

Andrew Merenda was promoted to recruiting and outreach manager in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  

Stacey Nunes has transferred to the position of administrative assistant I in the School of Engineering and Computer Science.  

Matthew Peifer is the new admissions coordinator in Student Services on the San Francisco Campus.  

Bhavana Raja has been hired as assistant professor of physical therapy in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Raja is an experienced acute care and neuromuscular clinician, educator and researcher who has studied and published in the area of gait kinematics.    

Stacey Schwartz is the new psychological litigation consultant in the Institute for Administrative Justice in the McGeorge School of Law.  

Business and Finance

Daric Josline was promoted to groundskeeper, group II, in Physical Plant.  

Desiree Maldonado's position has been reclassified as university purchasing card manager in the Office of the Controller.  

Ramiro Munoz is a new electrician in Physical Plant.  

Nicole Terrell-Whipper is the new human resources compensation administrator in Human Resources. Terrell-Whipper will serve as a strategic business partner facilitating the development, implementation and maintenance of the university's compensation programs and salary practices. 

Deborah Freeman is Pacific's new director of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity (AA & EEO). Freeman joined Pacific in May and will oversee the university's affirmative action and equal employment opportunity programs. This is an important new position that reflects Pacific's commitment to uphold our value of diversity and inclusion in our hiring and personnel practices. Pacific Technology

Kenneth Kerrick is the new assistant vice president for technology infrastructure and application services.  

Christian Sumabat was promoted to director of digital media technology and networking services Network Systems.  

Student Life

Patrick K. Day, vice president for Student Life, has accepted the position of vice president for Student Affairs at San Jose State University. His new position will involve a broader scope of responsibilities, including comprehensive student affairs and enrollment management functions. His last day at Pacific will be August 1. Day has been instrumental in helping Pacific grow and expand its support of students. He led the reinvigoration of career services, was key in overseeing the housing master plan for the Stockton Campus, and will help celebrate the opening of Calaveras Hall, Pacific's newest student housing facility. He also partnered with Development to raise $2.6 million in Pacific's largest student life fundraising campaign to date.

Dr. Renee Barnett Terry will serve as interim vice president for Student Life to provide continued leadership for the division during the search for a new vice president for student life. Terry has more than 30 years of higher education leadership experience in student affairs, including nearly 20 years as a chief student affairs officer at UC San Diego.

Shaun Billingsley was promoted to public safety officer in Sacramento Campus Public Safety.  

Laura Steed, associate university chaplain, has been named interim director of religious and spiritual life, to provide leadership for the department following the departure of the former dean of religious life, Joel Lohr. The appointment was effective July 1. Steed came to Pacific in October 2014 as assistant university chaplain and was promoted to associate university chaplain in August 2017. She has been a valued leader on the Religious and Spiritual Life team, providing leadership, advice and consultation in all areas of the department.  

Laura Whiteley is the new assistant director of competitive sports and facilities in Pacific Recreation.  

Athletics

Anthony McDaniel is the new manager of athletic media relations.  

Sydney Shelton has moved into the position of athletic facilities and event operations manager.  

Lewis Mow is the new athletics budget director.
