Pacific Summer High School Institute

The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the two-week program, summer institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces.

For eligible Lodi Unified School District students, the Pacific Summer High School Institute tuition is 100% sponsored by the school district and registration is free for the families, as outlined below.

2025 Calendar

Two 2-week sessions:

Session 1: Monday, June 2 to Thursday, June 12 (Check-in in the morning of Monday, June 2)

Session 2: Tuesday, June 17 to Friday, June 27 (Check-in in the morning of Tuesday, June 17)

Step 1: Fill out the pre-registration form with your details. Please make sure to double-check your school ID.

Step 2: Lodi Unified School District will check your eligibility for free registration into the program. Please note that it will take at least a couple of weeks to verify your eligibility. Once your eligibility is verified, your parents receive email notification that you can go ahead and register. (If you haven't received an email after a month, please check your spam folder.)

Step 3: You can register into the program of your choice on the main Pacific Summer High School Institute enrollment portal. Please note that some programs are offered in Session 1 (June 2–12), some in Session 2 (June 17–27) and the school district is funding one session per student. (If there is a “Full” sign next to the Lodi USD Sponsored tuition label, it means that the particular program is already full, and you need to select another topic from our list of sixty engaging and hands-on programs.) Once you have selected a program, click Register Now on the next screen.

First, you need to sign in or create a family account. It is very important that you create this account with the parent’s email address. If you sign in using the student's school email, you will not receive our communications and we will have to cancel the registration.

Select the right session and choose Lodi USD Sponsored as the tuition option. (Please do not select “Regular tuition” if you want the school district to sponsor your student's participation.) Continue. Enter the registration data into the form and click Continue. Read and sign the waiver form and click Continue. Choose Pay in Full, click Continue again and on the next screen enter the registration code you received from us in email. (This will zero the tuition amount for you.) Place Order.

Once registered, please also fill out the medical information form right away. There will be a link to this form on the confirmation page, as well as in the confirmation email.

For any questions about the pre-registration and selection process / timeline, Lodi USD families are welcome to contact the School District at the following email address: pacificsummer@lodiusd.net.
