Pacific Summer High School Institute

The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the two-week program, summer institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces.

For selected St. Helena High School students, the Pacific Summer High School Institute tuition is 100% sponsored by their high school and registration is free for these scholarship students, as outlined below.

2024 Calendar for St. Helena High School Students

Tuesday, June 18 to Friday, June 28 (Check-in in the morning of Tuesday, June 18)

Step 1: Once your high school counselor tells you, fill out the pre-registration form with your details. Please make sure to double-check your school ID. (This initial step is to verify your eligibility and in step 3, you will need to actually register into the summer institute and select a program and session.)

Step 2: St. Helena High School will check your eligibility for sponsored registration into the program. Please note that it will take several days to make a decision on offering you a scholarship. Once your sponsorship is decided, your parents will receive an email notification from Pacific to enroll into the Summer Institute.

Step 3: You can register into the program you have agreed on with your school counselor on the main Pacific Summer High School Institute enrollment portal. First, your parents need to create a family account and then register you into one of the Summer Institute programs. Please note that some programs are offered in Session 1 (June 3–13), some in Session 2 (June 18–28) and the school district funds enrollment into Session 2 only. Make sure to select the St. Helena HS Sponsored tuition option and put your school ID into the registration code on the check-out page. Please do not select the “Regular Tuition” as then your registration would be cancelled and you would have to register again.
