Soccer Skills and Tactics

Play like a pro this summer

Spend some time this summer with soccer coaches from both our Pacific Women's and Men's programs. We will be incorporating various soccer specific drills and activities in to the daily routine to help the students learn and develop the game to the best of their abilities.

Work on your game on a daily basis, spending time on technical skill work but also some fun game environments that will challenge and test you as a player. Learn tactics as well, both on and off the field, to help you develop into more complete player.

Curriculum

You will spend time on dribbling and passing, both individually and within the group dynamic. Other areas of emphasis will be first touch, shooting and longer passing techniques.

You will also spend time visually understanding the game within the team structure, building from small numbers to full 11 analysis.

Planned Topics

Daily technical components of the game that are big for the individual player include dynamic warm-up, dribbling, passing, and combination play. We will be incorporating activities and games that will help keep things fresh and learning within a competitive environment.

We will be spending time talking and showing strength/conditioning activities, including the importance of how it relates to the overall player development. We will also be introducing film and video breakdown and how we use it at the college level.
