Dear Pacific Summer High School Institute Families,
We are about a week away from the start of the Pacific Summer High School Institute, and we cannot wait to welcome you to our campus!
Registered students' resources
As you prepare for the summer institute, we would like to draw your attention again to the enrolled students' pages of our website, where we share more details about what to expect across the pre-college experience at Pacific.
These pages include:
- Pre-arrival information to prepare for check-in and check-out days.
- An overview of how our students will map out their weekdays and weekend.
- A detailed schedule of the types of co-curricular activities our students will enjoy outside of the classroom.
- A list of previous emails, in case you might have missed one.
In addition to these web pages, information pertaining to co-curricular activities, event location updates, or if activities get added to the schedule will be posted throughout campus, centered around DeRosa University Center, which will act as a main hub throughout the summer institute. This summer, we will also use a new smartphone app, Pacific Guides, available for Apple and Android devices. Our campus map, daily co-curricular activities schedule, academic program locations are already available through the in-app guidebook.
Info Night on ZOOM
On May 26 at 6pm, we are hosting a parent information meeting on ZOOM to help our summer institute families prepare for the program. We are providing an update on the expectations, the timeline and schedules, how to prepare for the program, the check-in processes, and answer all your questions.
Campus visits
We welcome families of our students to visit our campus during their summer institute session, but please be aware that some buildings, spaces, and co-curricular activities may only be accessible to registered students. This includes our residential halls, Baun Fitness Center, Chris Kjeldsen Pool, and our Pickleball and Padel Courts.
Signing out to go off campus
As a friendly reminder, once checked in, summer institute students cannot leave campus on their own. Students must be signed out and back in by an authorized adult family member (government ID required). Please limit the number of sign-out requests to essential appointments only. Students can only be signed out and back in at the DeRosa University Center front desk during the hours of 7am–10pm (weekdays) and 8am–10pm (weekends).
For support or if you have additional questions, please contact Faith Arano, Summer High School Institute Program Manager, at pacifichsinstitute@pacific.edu.
