Pacific Summer High School Institute

The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the two-week program, summer institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces.

For eligible Stockton Unified School District students, the Pacific Summer High School Institute tuition is 100% sponsored by the school district and registration is free for the families, as outlined below.

2024 Calendar

Two 2-week sessions:

Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 13 (Check-in in the evening of Sunday, June 2)

Tuesday, June 18 to Friday, June 28 (Check-in in the morning of Tuesday, June 18)

Step 1: Fill out the pre-registration form with your details. Please make sure to double-check your school ID.

Step 2: Stockton Unified School District will check your eligibility for free registration into the program. Please note that it will take a few days, up to a couple of weeks, to verify your eligibility. Once your eligibility is verified, your parents receive email notification that you can go ahead and register. (If you haven't received an email after a couple of weeks, please check your spam folder.)

Step 3: You can register into the program of your choice on the main Pacific Summer High School Institute enrollment portal. First, your parents need to create a family account and then register you into one of the Summer Institute programs. Please note that some programs are offered in Session 1 (June 3–13), some in Session 2 (June 18–28) and the school district funds one session per student. Make sure to select the Stockton USD Sponsored tuition option and put your school ID into the registration code on the check-out page. Please do not select the “Full Price” tuition as then your registration would be cancelled and you would have to register again.
