Data Project Collaboration

Five students in Pacific’s Master of Science in Data Science program partnered with the San Francisco 49ers as student consultants, analyzing nearly nine million rows of game-day transaction data from Levi’s Stadium across multiple seasons. Their work focused on identifying patterns in concession sales, revenue trends and fan adoption of the stadium’s Scan & Pay mobile payment system.

Micro Internships

Over spring break, three Pacific students stepped inside the business operations of the San Francisco 49ers, tackling real-world projects that will help shape the team’s global strategy. They analyzed fan engagement trends, both in the U.S. and globally, and turned their research into data-driven recommendations to help support the team’s international marketing strategy ahead of upcoming NFL games abroad.

Students at the Stadium

More than 200 college students across Northern California came together for a day of career development and exploration at Levi's Stadium. Nearly 50 Pacific students took part in the experience, hearing directly from 49ers staff and executive leadership about their career paths, day-to-day work and what it takes to succeed in the sports industry.
